The Story

A Passion For Wood.
A Purpose For People.

New Morning Farms began with a simple appreciation for natural materials and the stories they carry. Every board, table, and custom creation begins with respect for the wood itself and the unique character found within it.

Drawing inspiration from Northern Michigan's forests, shorelines, and gathering spaces, Matt creates functional pieces designed to be used, shared, and enjoyed for years to come.

Whether creating a custom dining table, a one-of-a-kind serving board, or a commissioned piece built around a client's vision, the goal remains the same: create something meaningful, lasting, and uniquely its own.

The Philosophy

The Wood Leads.
The Design Follows.

No two slabs arrive with the same grain, edge, movement, markings, or history. Rather than forcing every piece into the same shape, the work begins by paying attention to what is already there.

That is why a New Morning Farms piece can be part furniture, part functional art, and entirely its own. The material decides more than a template ever could.

Created once. Collected forever.
